Quick NOTW Golden Mistletoe Nails (Cinderella Hand)

Hello friends and MERRY CHRISTMAS! Have all you Christmas wishes come true this year? I gave my cinderella hand some TLC last week with its own unique design. Sometimes, It feels quite strange to have different designs on my hands, but I also get two different pretty things to stare at! Oh boy, I stare at this design so much, I love how glittery and festive it is. These nails are also multifunctional those who wish for Christmas kisses and cannot find an actual mistletoe in sight (*wink wink*).. Anyway, I wish you all a very merry Christmas, happy holidays and that all your Christmas wishes come true!

Ancient Egypt Nails for SNCJuly2016 (with Close-Up Photos)

Hello friends! The next prompt for _nailaddiction's Summer Nails Challenge (#sncjuly2016) is "Egypt", and this is my  Ancient Egypt inspired manicure for the week. As a child, I was always fascinated with Ancient Egypt. I was particularly drawn to the mysterious and beautiful symbols that adorned the tombs of the great pharaohs and their intriguing calligraphy. With this week's design, I tried my best to incorporate some of the gorgeous symbols that are commonly associated with Ancient Egypt.

On my left hand, I am wearing a Uraeus (cobra) on my thumb, which was used as symbol of royalty or authority and represented the Goddess Wadjet. This cobra, along with the striped design on my index and pinky fingers, were inspired by the mask of the mummy of Tutankhamun. On my middle finger is a scarab, which were very popular amulets in Egypt. This is followed by the Sun God Ra depicted as a bird. On my cinderella (right) hand, I went with more simple designs. The symbol on my thumb is the "Eye of Horus", which represents royal power, protection and good health. Next is the Ankh which symbolizes life. Finally, I decided put a Mau (cat) symbol on my ring finger because the ancient Egyptians worshiped them.

I feel very strange when I look at my hands because of the difference in the designs. With one being so simple and so bold and the other colourful, my eyes don't know which hand to focus on! Roses and Gold + Happy New Year!

Hello friends! Welcome to 2016! I've bee away for a month now, and I've missed it so much. I returned home for Christmas and only brought a set of polish back home with me. I did get the chance to swatch a couple of polishes I got from Crabtree&Evelyn  a couple of months ago. unfortunately, I packed my suitcase in quite a rush and failed to remember to bring some nail tools or even a top/base coat! In the end, Christmas break ended up just being a "breathing month" for my nails as I left them  bare for a majority of the time. It feels great to be back though! I promised myself that I would try my hardest to post weekly this year; so here's to keeping up with our new years resolutions and to a great new year!

I had a surprising amount of artist's block while trying to come up with the design for these nails, so I reverted to a design that I know how to do well. Rose nails were actually the first design that I learned to do when I first took up an interest in nail art, and I feel like I haven't done them in so long that bringing them back seemed like a good start for the year. These nails turned out to be really pretty in the end, I am loving the result! I was a bit skeptical about y choice of colours for this design, but the roses seem to pull the entire look together!

Bubble Trouble (with gold accents)

I have amazing news, it has nothing to do with nails but... I now have a full time job for the summer! I've just been really tired everyday and I haven't really had time to care for my hands (sorry hands...). So I'm basically just doing quick, easy manicures that will last me through each week. Now, I don'y now if you can tell, but I took these picture on my way to work (I walk to work everyday); but I must admit, they turned out pretty great! The sun actually provides the perfect lighting! I'm also very glad I finally got to try out this new polish, it is L'oreal's Bubble Trouble and I've had it since last year, but I never got the chance to try it out (and my friend 'borrowed' it for quite a while as well). I absolutely LOVE it! It's such a cute colour and I have no idea why, but it sort of creates a natural gradient on you put it on your nails. I'm really looking forward to using this polish a lot more in the future.

I don't think this manicure needs a lot of explanation, I mean...it's really simple, but here are some tips and trick on how to make your manicure last a week (like these did...without chipping):

Chinese New Year Nails

Voila! This post is just a tad late (and I also apologize for not updating in so long)...But it's been a pretty hectic month (and year) thus far. Excuses aside, I finally had some time to create these simple, yet festive nails. I actually really like this design because they're so simple to do, bold, fabulous, and not to mention- they aren't very time consuming (which is awesome because time isn't something that I have right now). Oh yes, here's a fun fact- the horse on my thumbnail is actually the Chinese Character for horse, "馬"!

So....here are some tips for creating your very own Lunar New Year Nails nails:
